A Mother's Grief

You ask me how I'm feeling, But do you really want to know

The moment I try telling you, You say you have to go

How can i tell you, What It's been like for me

I am haunted, I am broken, But things that you don't see.

You ask me how I'm holding up, but do you really care

The second I try to speak my heart, You start squirming in your chair

Because I am so lonely, You see, No one comes around

I'II take the words I want to say, and quietly choke them down.

Everyone avoids me now, because they don't know what to say

They tell me I'II be there for you, then turn and walk away.

Call me if you need me, That's what everyone said

But how can I call you and screem into the phone

MY GOD, MY CHILD IS DEAD!

No one will let me say the words I need to say

Why does a mother's grief, Scare everyone away

I am tired of pretending, As my heart pounds in my chest

I say things to make you comfortable, but my soul finds no rest.

How can I tell you things, that are too sad to be told

Of the helplessness of holding a child, Who in your arms grows cold.

Maybe you can tell me, How should one behave

Who had to follow their childs casket, watch it perched above a grave

You cannot imagin, What it was like for me that day

To place a final kiss upon that box, and have to turn and walk away.

If you really love me, And I believe you do

If you really want to help me, Here is what I need from you

Sit down beside me, Reach out and take my hand

Say "My friend" I've come to listen, I want to understand.

Just hold my hand and listen, That's all you need to do

And if by chance I shed a tear, It's alright if you do too.

how much you mean to me....
But there are no words to say
how much I admire you...
how much I appreciate you...
how much I thank you for everything you've done.

Just know that I love you...

 will all my heart and will be sending you all my love from heaven

Know that I am with you on this special day of yours

We are connected, my child and I

  By an invisible cord, not seen by the eye

It's not like the cord that connects us til birth

   This cord can't be seen by any on earth

 This cord does it's work right from the start

  It binds us together, attached to my heart

I know that it's there, though no one can see

 The invisible cord from my child to me

The strength of this cord is hard to describe

  It can't be destroyed, it can't be denied

It's stronger than any cord man could create

 It withstands the test, can hold any weight

   And though you are gone

  Though you are not here with me

 The cord is still there, but no one can see

It pulls at my heart, I am bruised..I am sore

 But this cord is my life line, As never before

I am thankful that god connects us this way

A mother and child...death can't take it away

can never be undone.

through our family you will see.

For they will show love from them

how painful it’s become.

Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when His masterpiece was through,
He called it simply...MOTHER

Like the precious bond that comes from God,
   to a mother when she gives birth.

When her days on earth are over,
